Mould Maker/CNC Machinist

Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate, maintain, repair molds, stamping dies and tooling
- Update mold maintenance work orders and tool history
- Be hoisting and forklift certified
- Basic knowledge of Engel (CC300) and Arburg (Selogica NG) molding machines and robotic systems
- Maintain shop equipment by performing scheduled PM’s Machine mold and automation components
- Possess a valid Red Seal mould maker certification
- Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001
- Collaborate with Automation Team by designing, machining, assembly and improvement of fixtures and robotic tools
- Work outside the trade on special projects as required
- Maintain all shop consumables and supplies
- Outsource work which can not be done in-house (co-ordination and quoting)
- Compliance with and ensuring the required and communicated quality goals for the respective department and the respective task area
- Always considering the processes to be followed and the applicable standards to be met at all times.
Qualification Requirements
- Role Requirements 5-0 years of mould manufacturing experience, pref. in automotive injection moulded parts manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of CAD based design software a benefit
- Strong knowledge of operating manual milling, lathe and surface grinding equipment for precision machining
- Ability to work with metric drawings
- Knowledge of CNC machining set-up, programming, etc.
- Knowledge of OSHA Health & Safety Regulations (including WHMIS)
- Understanding of Lock-out Tag-out procedure
- Good communication skills (verbal & written)
- Basic math skills required
- Recognition of the importance in teamwork and continuous communication
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Own transportation/access to vehicle, an asset
- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Mould Maker/CNC machinist is responsible for managing and maintaining our mould maintenance program. As well as oversee the day to day function of the tool room.
